“Osteoporosis is a lifestyle disease. The more you realize that there are many factors, the more you’ll see that your bone health is in your control.” -Debi Robinson
Debi Robinson is a Yoga
Therapist and Health Coach who specializes in working with clients
with osteoporosis and bone loss. At 51, she had a total hip
replacement which gave her the insight and foresight of what it is
like to have a body that is weak, broken and gets in the way of you
living the life you want to live. She now guides those she works
with to transform their bone health through daily movements, a
nutrient dense diet and learning to manage stress to stop breakdown
in your body and calm your mind.
She
is certified to teach Yoga for Osteoporosis. Her focus has been on
teaching the tools of yoga therapy to counter the functional loss
we experience as we age and especially bone density loss in
Osteoporosis. In today’s talk we look at some of the most common
causes of osteoporosis that Debi sees, what specific labs she
orders to help her clients, what is working, and she even tells us
two great bone nourishing seeds we can add to our diet. There is so
much we can do to improve our bone health and Debbie inspires us to
get started in this interview.
